Sadly, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have had to cancel the 2020 and 2021 festivals.
During the current Coronoavirus pandemic, if you can help the charities that Summer Moon has helped in the past (see list below) please do so, whether by volunteering, giving a donation or simply by showing your support and appreciation for their work. Thank you.
The Summer Moon Festival is run under the auspices of Kingskerswell Summer Moon Trust (Registered Charity No.1141844).
Kingskerswell Summer Moon Trust was established with the aim of running a beer and music festival that would provide entertainment for the local community as well as raise funds for charities, community groups and deserving causes in Kingskerswell and the surrounding area.
The Trustees owe a huge debt of gratitude to many:- Bays Brewery who have sponsored each of the Festivals and the ever growing band of local businesses who have agreed to sponsor a barrel of beer or advertise with us, the many volunteers who help at the event and to the people of Kingskerswell and nearby villages who have braved the often inclement weather to support the Festival over the years (although we now provide two huge marquees for the bar and entertainment, so the festival is not weather dependent!).
The Festival raised over £16,000 at the 12th Annual Festival held 20- 22 June 2019. That makes a grand total of over £153,000 raised since it began in 2008.
The Summer Moon Trustees disburse the profits of the annual festival in the Autumn following the event. The Trustees are pleased to consider all applications from charities, community groups and good causes in Kingskerswell and the surrounding area. The closing date for grant applications is 31 July in the same year as the festival.
If you would like your favourite charity or good cause in Kingskerswell or the surrounding area to benefit from Summer Moon fundraising, you can apply using a grant application form, which is available for you to download here in PDF format, complete and send to us. Unfortunately, for security reasons, we are unable to provide a Word version of the form for completion. An example of how to complete the application form is available in PDF format download here. If you have any difficulty with either of the download documents, please contact us.
Don’t forget that the closing date for grant applications is on 31 July following the last festival.
The charities and good causes which benefited from the money raised at the June 2019 Festival were presented with cheques on 25 September.
